“It won’t be anyone from the shortlist.”

Right. That’s a decoy list.

To: When do we get liberated?

He needs a wrecking ball like Vivek Ramaswamy

He does. He needs to choose someone who relishes fighting battles. Someone who doesn’t back down.

Unfortunately Trump will probably choose someone bland like Carson or Scott who won’t be a threat to Trump’s ego. Presidents generally don’t want a strong VP.

“This decision is something that needs to NOT be done by Race or Gender”

Disagree. There isn’t a strong MAGA candidate that is not white or male? It WOULD make a difference on the ballot, unfortunately; it’s 2024.

However, I think having someone young on the ticket would be of more importance. It would have been an excellent ticket with Trump/DeSantis, but everyone knows how that got screwed up.

“You need legislation to permanently close departments like education.”

Could you technically retain the department, but 100% un-fund it?

“Tulsi . . . But I’m probably biased by the workout video she put out a few years ago!”

Yeah? What is she wearing in that? /sarc

#62: It was an act by Pompeo so he could be close to Trump and feed Intel to the Deep State."

Exactly so! Good analysis!

Take your choice:

Pompeo was a CIA deep cover plant.

There probably isn’t a single person on the national political scene who I would trust LESS than Mike Pompeo.

His resume reads like a Deep State/MIC operative right out of central casting.

Tulsi went to Syria and verified their “civil war” was a CIA operation and refused to support. That is why she was railroaded by the deep state and called a “traitor”. She did not back down. She’ll also denueter “racist” and “mysogenist” attacks when she trounces Harris in the veep debate.

I’m not happy about the impeachment vote either but that act [Syria trip] showed me she is American first and she brings a feminine & soft side to the ticket, which is needed for the suburban wine moms and the bedwetters who can’t otherwise think for themselves. I think that’s worthy of consideration.

“Pompeo was loyal to Trump but he was the head of CIA. So I think he was playing games.”

Worsse than “games”. Purposely kept Trump in the dark regarding important issues, with the assistance of Gina Haspell. He’s a Pence-esque snake.

we need someone with some righteous fire.

Gentle Ben is a slow simmer.

The swamp would boil him, gently

These times do not call for gentleness. We need strong, decisive people with (as you so aptly put it) righteous fire.

If only Trump could offer a free bottle of Chardonnay to the suburban moms. Maybe devise a way to sends limos to the burbs and take them to the polls promising White wine and play a dvd of The Chippendales.

Michael Flynn was for real. That was why they dropped the hammer on him.

Trump should give him a role in his potential administration. Maybe make him SecDef.

Pompeo is basically Barr without the bagpipes. Neither fully loyal to their boss.

“”At the moment it can’t think of anyone better than General Michael Flynn.””

I would think he’s had enough of DC to bow out of any consideration. I would hope so anyway. No one needs to seek that kind of persecution and that’s what it was. I’ve always felt the same about Sarah Palin for the same reason. Both good people and too good for DC...
