I can’t go to Las Vegas - last time I was there, I almost passed out from the heat. We had to take a cab two blocks because I don’t perspire and almost ended up with heat exhaustion. When I breathed, my throat and lungs burned - temp was about what it is there now (95) and I was in severe distress. Same with AZ - that dry heat is too much.

Just saw it feels like 104 at 95 degrees. It was 105 earlier so felt much hotter than that. Add in 10% humidity and you will feel like you are being baked.

This happened to me on my way to Rolling Thunder one year. I made it almost to the Lincoln Memorial and had to retreat. (And this was DC in late Spring!)

20 years ago we were in Vegas, third week of June, and visited Red Rock Canyon. It was 110 deg. With a strong wind. I thought “now I know what it feels like to be roasted in a convection oven.🥵

I honestly don’t understand the people who LOVE the high heat. I’ve heard Las Angeles people say they wish it were 100 degrees every day of the year. The same with some Arizonans.

I remember 10 years ago going to Vegas in the middle of summer with my neighbors. 117 and we were in the pool at Paris. Lifeguards were carrying large tubs of water practically forcing people in the pool to drink water. We went outside at 2:30 in the morning and it was still 100 degrees!!! It was insane!!!!

I feel the exact same way about humidity. I almost died when I went to Florida. I’ve lived in towns along the SoCal coast but I’ve been in AZ for 28 yrs and I love the dry heat, except when it gets over 100 degrees.
