Poll: Trump Is on Biden’s Heels in Blue Minnesota After Conviction

Former President Donald Trump is within striking distance of President Joe Biden in blue Minnesota, according to a poll taken after his conviction in the Manhattan business records trial.

The Star Tribune/MPR News/KARE 11 poll, published Monday, finds that Biden leads with 45 percent of support among likely voters in a three-way race with Trump and independent Robert Kennedy Jr. Trump garners 41 percent of the response, followed by Kennedy Jr. at 6 percent. Biden’s edge on Trump falls just outside the ± 3.5 percentage point margin of error.

New: President Joe Biden holds a 45-41% lead over former President Donald Trump in Minnesota, according to a new Star Tribune/MPR News/KARE 11 Minnesota Poll. But GOP voters are more enthusiastic about their candidate, https://t.co/pmlA8YOeWy

Last time MN went red was 1972.

Maybe if the Somalis decide to boycott the elections in Minneapolis. That’ll help to close the margin for Trump.

2020 election results map. The only areas that won that state for Biden were the Twin Cities area and the northeast corner of the state (predominately native American, IIRC).

The election in 2016 marked the first time since 1952 that the Democratic candidate performed worse in Minnesota than in the nation at large. Hillary Clinton won the national popular vote by 2.1 points but won Minnesota by just 1.5 points, or 44,765 votes. Minnesota has been a primarily Democratic state in national elections since 1932.

Minnesota is fools gold. Minneapolis is a hell hole. Keep focused on PA. Win PA and it’s game over.

Yeah... It’s a it’s a lot closer now then it used to be up there. A lot of city libs moved up there and do WFH jobs which has kept Duluth blue with the hipster vote.

The only way is Ronald Reagan style landslide victory then they wouldn't be able to rig it.

Or we're taking a couple of states where they're not paying attention. Minnesota, New Mexico, Virginia, New Hampshire and Colorado. Then it wouldn't matter if they were able to rig in MI and PA.

Win PA and it’s game over.“

PA was patient zero for the 20 steal. Trump had a huge lead but then the fraud machine went full throttle and a few days later the lead was gone.

Unions and welfare. They talk like hard working blue collar types but when it come to voting, not so much. It’s a prevalent mentality in high latitude states

My first impression...

RFK pulls more votes away from Trump than RFK pulls away from Biden in vital swing states.

Trump won in 2016 because the Green Party thought Hillary had the election wrapped up.

Hillary lost Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania because of the Green Party voters.

In 2020, the Green Party vote crashed almost 90% in those three states, and Biden won those three states with small, but comfortable, margins.

RFK will get almost zero Hard Left votes in vital toss up states. Those folks will vote for Biden.

How big a difference could it make here and in other close states if President Trump made a big bold outreach to Native Americans; say expand tribal economic opportunities beyond and bigger than casinos and expanded fishing rights under previous treaties?

I think MN is kind of like Charlie Brown, Lucy, and the football. It may be close, but if Trump couldn’t get MN in 2016 when he carried PA, WI, and MI, the I don’t think he will get it this year either. I don’t think it will matter, I think Trump will have a clear Electoral College victory, but socialist MN may be a bridge too far.

in 2020 Biden won by 7 points, so this is a modest improvement.
