10,000 is just the beginning.

My friend sent me a photo yesterday of his usual breakfast at MacDonald’s - coffee, Egg McMuffin and hash browns - and the bill, $12.50.

He also signed AB 5 back in 2020 that effectively wiped out far, far more jobs, in the independent contractor sector. It’s amazing that I never see any scrutiny or interest by the Democrat media to investigate such devastating effects on the average worker.

The 10,000 jobs lost does not tell the whole story. Restaurants are losing customers and losing revenue and their costs of doing business have gone up tremendously. The long term effect of the wage increase will be a lot more businesses closing and hundreds of thousands more losing their jobs.

When businesses close, other businesses are negatively affected, and they too may have to close and lay off many thousands more. Add up the number of lost jobs over the months and years, and the number of businesses that had to close and/or move, and the effect to the economy is very devastating. Not to mention the loss of tax revenue to the affected cities and state.

What's ten thousand jobs lost compared to a liberal 'elite' feeling good about himself?

I mean, come on... Gavin feels "the hero" - and isn't that all that matters? /s

This will not be reported in any of the left-wing propaganda organs that the Left considers “real news”, so they will never know about it.

Just figur the incrase on the prices of everything going up for the public is to pay for the wages of ‘students and entry level positions...while you pay off their college debt as well.

Q: What’s the new minimum wage?
A: $20.00/hr.

Q: What were you earning before that?
A: $15.00/hr.

Q: What are you earning now?
A: Nothing, I got laid off.

It’s all about productivity. A burger flipper must generate enough revenue from their work to pay their $20 per hour wage and their share of the production costs to make this work. How many burgers can they produce per hour on average and at what price? It assumes that all the burgers they make get sold, but if the price of the burger goes up to make up their limited production fewer burgers get sold (Law of Demand). Add to this economic mess inflation increases in the cost of raw food. It is little wonder fast food places are closing their doors and laying off workers. The new paradigm may well be fully automated burger joints with few if any workers churning out burgers with little labor cost. Politicians obviously have no grasp of basic economics.

Work the logic. Big Government leftists want ALL people dependent upon them for sustenance. Hence, they make the economy such that more people are unemployed and eventually end up on welfare. Much easier to control the populace when they have no other choices. So, it’s not just that they’re stupid. They’re doing it intentionally. It’s the evil that makes them appear stupid. Most folks that are not leftists can’t even conceive of such stupidity (evil). That’s our main handicap and Achilles heel and that’s why they’re winning. Because our side can’t or won’t recognize that they are indeed evil (not just stupid).

Also note that this creature modified the $20 law to exclude Panera breads. ‘Cause they contribute to his campaign.

The purpose of the min wage laws is the same as the lockdowns — to kill off small businesses, ‘cause they are almost exclusively run by non-commie trash. CT’s are incapable of assessing risks and budgeting — not in their DNA. So, most of their businesses fail unless subsidized — or connected to corrupt politicos — see above.
