President Biden claimed Thursday that he has “known” Vladimir Putin “for over 40 years” — despite Russia’s president having served as an undercover KGB intelligence officer through the entire 1980s.
“I’ve known him for over 40 years. He’s concerned me for 40 years. He’s not a decent man,” Biden, 81, told ABC News anchor David Muir during an interview in France at the Normandy American Cemetery to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
Putin worked as an intelligence officer in the Soviet Union’s spy network from 1975 to 1991, with postings in his hometown of St. Petersburg and the former East Germany before he retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel — making it highly unlikely Biden was aware of the future US adversary’s existence as early as he claimed.

The only way Biden would have known him back then was if Putin wrote something interesting he could plagiarize.
Was that back when they were both truck drivers hauling freight across the bearing sea land bridge?

Perhaps the “president” knew Putin in the biblical sense; stranger things involving his son Hunter have happened.

Well, maybe I’m just not ‘connected’ because I do not know Putin. I’m pretty unaware of his past other than he was a spy and a KJB guy but I like him. I like his face. I like he loves his country. I like he tries to make things good for his country. This is what a president is supposed to do. Like the father of his country.
And really I just want to stay in that belief. I like to imagine Russia as a beloved by their countrymen. I’d like it to be that way here.

Xiden went there on the suggestion of his then Senate aide, one Tom Lantos (a real whacko dem/Communist who eventually ran and got into Congress. Notable for having mocked Admiral Boorda for committing suicide over the military medals claims made against him by Hackworth).
There was zero sense to going to Hungary (joey bags was on the Senate Intel committee then though. Schiff-like in his inclinations)-except making pals with Commies. Xiden is scared crapless over Orban’s comments.
Biden can drool all over himself and have a public diaper change and they’ll still support him. He’s not the Bad Orange Man and that’s all that counts.
It’s almost as if we’re living in an alternative universe. I often think this cannot be happening in the United States of America. It exceeds the boundaries of belief.
