A Spirit Airlines passenger managed to track down her stolen luggage after it vanished when she arrived at a Florida airport — using one of the stolen items to aid in her desperate search.
Paola Garcia had been waiting for her small pink hardshell luggage, containing several Apple products like her personal MacBook and two Apple Watches, at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport’s carousel after returning home to the Sunshine State, Local 10 reported.
The exact timing of the incident remains unclear, but Garcia’s desperation to find her stolen property led her to the apparent culprit’s house even before local cops.
Garcia told the outlet she always carried on her luggage without issue, but this time, Spirit Airlines employees made her check the bag before she departed from New York.
She panicked as she watched others grab their bags from the carousel, and her luggage didn’t appear.
“In my mind, I’m thinking I need my computer because I go to the university, I need my computer no matter what,” Garcia told the outlet.
Garcia said she waited “at least two hours” before giving up hope that her luggage would arrive on the conveyor belt.
Spirit Airlines employees told Garcia not to worry and that her luggage would be sent to her house, she told the outlet.
The next day, she began receiving a ping from one of her Apple Watches — except it wasn’t coming from the airport but 15 minutes away at a Fort Lauderdale home.
It was the home of Junior Bazile, who worked in the retail store Paradies Shops at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by Local 10.
Determined to get her belongings back, she went to the home, found her suitcase and her things, and immediately called 911.

At least it isn’t a vacant stare!
Good morning, and Happy Friday Eve!
I went to check my bank account and locked myself out. I made a mistake putting the password in. I changed it with all the garbage of ID Theft, and what I wrote in my password book isn’t the actual password. So there’s that until 0800.
This is starting out to be a truly stuning new month.
Chip was on the sofa again, but I startled him when I came back from the kitchen at something before midnight, and he wasn’t there when I got back up a little while ago. He had knocked a blanket onto the floor in his haste to get away and I guess he thought something bad was going to happen.
He’s taken to pulling his food dish towards him, and I think it happens when he’s pulling a Jake and trying to fish out the little pellets. As a result — pellets all over the floor.
All that progress I made with him before I went to CO is reversed. It’s like when I first brought him home.
Thanks!
Good Morning!
Unless the report from last night is drastically different, not much change in F-I-L general condition... there was another ER trip the other day that we learned about after his return... M-I-L has hired a nice older gentleman that serves as a daytime sitter for him...
Still being blessed by a long string of sunny, dry days here...
Looks like my staircase is running in the other direction....

Looks like a church with a big lawn! LOL! Good job! ;o]
I was thinking Space Invaders... But... yeah. :-)
I never got to play that game much. I was more into Tetris.
Evening ‘Face.
“sweet things are on those scones”
That be Strawberry Jam on top of Clotted cream, ooh-arrh.
Be careful with the way around you apply it to the scone....one county has jam then cream, the other county cream then jam.
Hmm-m-m-m...
I like the way it looks just fine, so would I be from the right country? Or the left?
That whole tray looks good. ;o]
Just as it is is normal for most of the country.
Jam then Cream is for the Atlantic County of Cornwall.
A wee bit different down there they be see.
Good morning! It’s been stuff here.
The Walmart is pretty tumultuous: I don’t know if people are panic buying or buying for donations to go up to the mountains.
It’s good to know I’d fit in, somewhat.
I have an old recipe for QEII’s scones, and I made them once, when I knew nothing at all about the British and their eating habits.
My son has developed a taste for Marmite when he went to London two years ago, but I have gotten that brave, as yet. I do like crumpets and lemon curd, though. And tea. Breakfast tea. (He went over to visit with a person named Edd China, who does videos on vehicle repairs. Edd had a sofa that he drove as well as an “orange.” My son is tall, but Edd China is taller still!)
Yesterday I went to put gas in my car. There was someone blasting his radio for the entire parking area to hear. It wasn’t all that bad though. It was a parody of “The Candy Man.”

It was hard to believe when I hunted it down it was from 15 years ago. It was even harder to believe that it was followed by an ad featuring Barak Obummer requesting a campaign donation for Commiela Harris. Talk about poor ad placement.
But you should give a listen anyway. It was worth the time.
What a bizarre song to encounter at the local gas pumps... life is certainly interesting... and getting more so each day...
Good morning. Happy Friday!
We managed to get through yesterday without any alarms. F-I-L is still fixated on being locked out of his basement. The doctor visit is today. We’ll see if anything changes after that.
It was 47 fs walking the Princess this morning. I guess fall is on its way. The Princess is due for a grooming so she enjoyed the nip in the air.
I don’t know what to say about this Wordle guess. I decided to guess the word I would least like for a #2 guess.

That’s funny!!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night.
It looks as though Chip’s favorite sleeping spot at night is where I sit during the day. The fabric on the sofa is such that if it isn’t covered, it will pull Chip’s fur out. Boy, does it ever! So what was just a precaution a few months ago is a necessity, now.
In kitty language, I hope this means something good.
I got an awful lot done yesterday, and since changing anti-coagulants, I don’t feel quite so lethargic all the time. Good. There are things to be done. (Now if my voice would just come back....)
Maybe I’ll get something else done today, like rearrange the storage closet, now that FD has taken her boxes. It’s been nagging me since I got back home.
Hiya!
Maybe F-i-L will forget all about going to the basement by the time the doctor gets there. We can hope.
It’s 68° out but will raise another 30 by the time the sun dips below the yardarm. The nights are cooling off, but for this week, the days are in the high 90s.
Excellent work on the Wordle!
🤣
Great photo!
