Planet Earth hit 12 consecutive months where the global average temperature reached a record high, according to new data released on Wednesday.
In addition, last month was the hottest May on record, according to the European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S).
The data from European climate scientists showed that it was also the 11th consecutive month during which the global average temperature reached or eclipsed 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The global average temperature in the last 12 months was 0.75 Celsius above the 1991–2020 average and 1.63 Celsius higher than the pre-industrial average.

Good Plan.

Scientist....but...but...we have our computer models! Garbage in, garbage out....keep those Soros Grants coming.
It’s like voting.
It all depends on who crunches the data.
Perpetual Lefty Freakouts: ALL BS all the time
I predict there will be numerous terrorist attacks in the US before either of Obama’s waterfront mansions are flooded.

I have lived in the Ozarks and Oklahoma for most of the last 68 years. The last two years have been the coolest I can ever remember. AC usually goes on in late April. Last year I did not put it on till late June. Still haven’t turned it on this year.
Now consider 90 years ago, Tulsa not far from here...https://www.weather.gov/tsa/climo_tuljunrecrd
I graduated HS in 1975. Fall practice for football in those days was absolutely brutal because of the heat. You can’t tell me it is hotter now than it was then.
My first summer out of HS before I went to college, I hauled square bale hay all summer because I couldn’t find another job. Once again - brutal.
I believe absolutely NOTHING a so-called climate scientist has to say.
Yu mean you don’t want to build in New Orleans below sea level?
There have been two recent one-time events that have recently led to some global warming, the 2020 ban on ship emissions https://dailysceptic.org/2024/06/04/almost-all-recent-global-warming-caused-by-green-air-policies-shock-revelation-from-nasa/ and the 2022 Tonga volcano https://www.nasa.gov/earth/tonga-eruption-blasted-unprecedented-amount-of-water-into-stratosphere/ .
I was in Cabo San Lucus a few years back. Right at the southern most tip of the Baja. Which is also the southern most tip of the Rocky Mountains. There is a 1000’ high mountain right at the end(Solmar). This is because it is solid granite.
One of the things I noticed was all of these big round holes in the granite pillars going right up from the beach sand. Some of these holes are 6” in diameter into the solid rock. That is because the level of the PACIFIC OCEAN used to be over 60’ higher. The holes were made by the erosion of the ocean a long time ago.
BS, I’m in W. TN about 35 miles from Memphis, we are below normal with more freaking rain than we normally get from May-Sept. 5 days of light to heavy rain is unusual. 65-87 below, down to 60’s at night. Maybe 2-3 days between rain. More Tornadoes out of MS.AR than normal. High winds. It’s 83 at 3:42 pm, 76 tonight, haven’t even turned on the AC. Ground is saturated, and shallow-rooted trees fall over and do a lot of damage.
The first year in some time I got my garden to produce green beans, the canner has another hour to go.
“...That is because the level of the PACIFIC OCEAN used to be over 60’ higher.”
Well, as long as it’s just the Pacific ocean I’m good....
It sure hasn’t been hot in Idaho. This week MAY be the first since last summer to hit above 80 degrees. It’s been freezing at night still. Haven’t been able to put out my veggie starts yet.
Indeed
The global average temperature in the last 12 months
Guess they haven’t checked the records for the last 100 years when records started.
Bonus round artic core samples for earlier temps.
