Biden’s DOJ And Alvin Bragg Blindsided With Bad News
The Republic Brief ^ | 4/4/24 | Alisha Rodriguez

Demanding the immediate release of documents pertaining to “credible allegations” of “improper collusion by the Biden White House and Department of Justice (DOJ) in the sham political show trial of President Trump conducted by Alvin Bragg, the New York County District Attorney’s Office, and Judge Juan Merchan,” America First Legal is suing the Department of Justice.

The principal target of the allegations of cooperation between the Biden Administration and Bragg’s office is Matthew Colangelo, a senior Biden DOJ official who joined Bragg’s team as a prosecutor after leaving the department. Before accepting a low-level position as a prosecutor in Bragg’s office, Colangelo was the Department of Justice’s third-highest ranking officer official.

“Today, AFL sued the DOJ to compel the immediate release of previously requested records regarding Matthew Colangelo, a key figure in the partisan and politically-motivated prosecution of President Trump in Manhattan,” America First Legal wrote in a press release.

The legal team filed many more Freedom of Information Act requests for correspondence regarding Colangelo’s hiring in addition to the lawsuit. The group is requesting contact between Colangelo and the following parties: Jay Bratt, David Harbach, Special Counsel Jack Smith, the Office of the New York County District Attorney, and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW).

A second request is for correspondence between Matt Klapper and the Public Integrity Section of the DOJ, CREW, Special Counsel Smith, Bratt, Harbach, and Colangelo, as well as the Office of the New York County District Attorney. Klapper is the chief of staff to Attorney General Merrick Garland at the moment.

The press release from America First Legal went on to state: “These critical records will expose the relationship between Colangelo, Klapper, the Biden White House, Special Counsel Smith, and the New York County District Attorney...

Biden should get the Wide Latinx to resign and get the meritless Garland installed in her seat.

It is in instances like this that a defect in the Constitution becomes glaring: There is no means or process provided in the Constitution for the SCOTUS or the Congress to physically enforce a judgment against the Executive. Even if a President was impeached and removed, there is no means to enforce that judgment if the Military still follows Presidential orders.

And people can’t see this as partisan, run from the Biden WH and Biden DOJ?

Since when does a top DOJ prosecutor “quit” the DOJ to join a single case in a local prosecutors office? If you quit the DOJ you get a $2000 per hour billing rate at a white shoe defense firm. Or something similar. You don’t go down to a local prosecutor’s office after rising that high in your career. Unless of course, you’re being run or bribed or promised something much bigger.

Let’s see where he goes next. A federal judgeship? Or maybe now to the private sector where you pay him $250,000 and he calls his DOJ buddies to make your case fall apart.

Nixon was forced by POTUS to turn over the tapes. But Nixon was law abiding, and once his claim of executive privilege was disallowed, complied. Biden’s claim of executive privilege with regards to tapes containing his senile babbling, is ridiculous, but he’ll dispose of the tapes even if ordered to produce them.
