Multiple legal experts have cited multiple legal reasons why Trump’s guilty verdict is likely to be overturned on appeal.
I am listing some of their reasons here, but there are a lot more reasons at the links:
Judges are supposed to be chosen at random. But this judge was selected on purpose.
Judges aren’t supposed to make political donations. But this judge had donated to multiple anti-trump organizations.
The main crime that Trump was convicted of was a misdemeanor, and the statute of limitations had expired. However, the prosecutor updated it to a felony, and used some other crime to avoid the statute of limitations. However, the prosecutor never said what that other crime was. The judge gave the jury instructions that they did not have to vote unanimously when it came to this other crime. The judge gave the jury three separate crimes to choose from, and said they could split their vote, such as, for example, by 4-4-4.
The campaign finance law that Trump was convicted of breaking is a federal law, not a state law. The state has no jurisdiction in this matter.

In school I learned that we had a Bill of Rights and the Constitution was the supreme law of the land. Therefore, if you are right, NY has seceded. Trump is certainly "controversial"... to swine.

The lawfare against President Trump has produced the exact conservative cohesion he needed to seal the deal in November. The right VP -- Youngkin or DeSantis or Tim/Rick Scott or even Foam Boy -- and Biden will be permanently back home in his Delaware basement pooping his diapers loaded on Kadian and pinching his great-granddaughter's nipples (barf), while Dr. Jekyll plots a twofer to bury him still somewhat alive inside the fundament cornerstone of his Delanowhere Puppet-State Museum/Mausoleum.

No this is going to go the way of 2000 Gore vs Bush. The SCOTUS will have to get involved because of the election interference. You cannot have the front runner of a presidential election sitting in jail or home confinement.
If it doesn’t happen before the election, forget it. If the Dems cheat as spectacularly as I expect them to, after they take the House, and keep the Senate and White House, SCOTUS will get a makeover, ensuring that Trump never sees the political light of day again and that we will be another one-party country a la the Soviet Union.

Well I would say the equivalency is election interference. It doesn’t matter if the election has or has not yet occurred.
No matter what the SCOTUS does or does not do I personally still expect to see an intervention and at this point I see no path to an election in November. Its going to be postponed. I think the next election is going to be paper ballots, voter ID and same day voting. Just my opinion looking at how things are coming together. Long about the end of July or first of August we will have an answer.
Bear in mind 2020 still has not been fixed. That has to happen.
