Multiple legal experts have cited multiple legal reasons why Trump’s guilty verdict is likely to be overturned on appeal.
I am listing some of their reasons here, but there are a lot more reasons at the links:
Judges are supposed to be chosen at random. But this judge was selected on purpose.
Judges aren’t supposed to make political donations. But this judge had donated to multiple anti-trump organizations.
The main crime that Trump was convicted of was a misdemeanor, and the statute of limitations had expired. However, the prosecutor updated it to a felony, and used some other crime to avoid the statute of limitations. However, the prosecutor never said what that other crime was. The judge gave the jury instructions that they did not have to vote unanimously when it came to this other crime. The judge gave the jury three separate crimes to choose from, and said they could split their vote, such as, for example, by 4-4-4.
The campaign finance law that Trump was convicted of breaking is a federal law, not a state law. The state has no jurisdiction in this matter.

Appellate court is in NY, populated by “judges” appointed by Democrats. My guess is the appeal goes no where.
Best bet is if somehow they can get the SCOTUS to take the case, which I think is unlikely.
Of course its going to be overturned 🙄
My prediction is that the judge will likely try to actually send Trump to jail. The Trump attorneys will introduce a writ for emergency hearing to the SCOTUS. The SCOTUS will put the kibosh on the incarceration while they deliberate and then rule to overturn the conviction. I do not expect this to go through the appellate court.
Their legal opinions are based on the law, and the prosecution, judge, and jury were politically biased.
And will the appeal judges in NY be any different?
And once again, SCOTUS is in no hurry to right these wrongs.
Yes, the appeals court has already looked at these things and let the “trial” move forward. It’s unlikely that they will suddenly change gears and overturn a conviction. This is why it’s important that SCOTUS step in and put a stop to this travesty.
If the case doesn’t leave the state of NY, Trump is getting locked up, whether in prison or under house arrest. No court in that state is going to overrule the kangaroo court.

Judges in NY make up rules just to persecute people they don’t like- They changed the rule for time limits just so they could go after Trump, then they told jurors that they need not all agree on all the charges, but only on a few, and that would make him guilty on all counts- or some such nonsense-
Trump can’t win in courts that refuse to look at the evidence, and judge objectively- courts where they continually move the goal posts to protect themselves while making it impossible for Trump to win- They set out to persecute and prosecute- and laws and facts didn’t matter- I can’t see where he woudl get a fair appeal trial-
I completely agree. They want Trump in prison garb for the commercials.

Even if R’s are willing to fight, which is questionable to begin with, they insist on playing by the rules. Even Trump has said we’re the party of law and order. The Democrats make up the “rules” as they go.

I’ll tell you something that’s probably going to be very unpopular......anybody that thinks that judge won’t physically put Trump in jail better wake up because that IS going to happen....not might, WILL.....I guarantee it.
The Appellate court consists of 5 black women. They probably won’t hear the case, either way he loses.
A kangaroo court in full open public view uncaring that they are seen as the usurpers that they are “ convicted “ Trump and none dared challenge them and Trump and everyone else is acting like the “court” is respect worthy and possessed of it full legitimate power. So WHY should any other court gain say them? They won’t.

Someone in the Trump organization or in a law firm who represents Trump was paid off by Soros to develop and exploit Trump’s business practices against himself.
The two attorneys on the jury may have been paid off by Soros to become the jury foreman and press for a guilty verdict. Its surprising Trump’s attorneys allowed attorneys to be on the jury. The defense was asking for a guilty verdict.
