Only the upper class shop at Publix? I didn’t know I was part of the upper class... and as a Publix employee, I don’t get any kind of discount.
I wouldn’t be caught dead in Wal Mart here in Seminole County — that place is a depressing freak show, and the quality of the food is not even sub par.
I don’t know what you think you know about people who shop at Publix... but you’re wrong.

Yet another business with ties to New York is closing multiple locations. The news follows what can only be described as a landslide of abrupt closings***
I'm sure Bitem - and Gov. Hochul - will just say that they are closing because of greed. 🤷
Remember all the thriving businesses in the Soviet Union? No? Well, everything that you needed you got from the govt... Who needs greedy capitalists? Start by standing in that line over there...

New York is horrible for small business. If you are a chip fab in Malta, NY, they give you literally BILLIONS in taxpayer funds to come and stay.

Stop & Shop was also one of the more insane stores during Covid - they had security guards at their entrance screaming at people to “pull your mask up!” People did not forget the treatment of customers by Stop & Shop. True Value Hardware did that here.
The store closed.
It was only a 20 mile round trip to the nearest Orange Box store, where you could show your smile in public, and shop in peace...
