I can see the governor’s point here. I have professional associates who serve on government regulatory boards, and they are explicitly forbidden from publicly lobbying for legislation or regulations that relate to their professional responsibilities.
If they broke the rules that settles it.

I see his point too and probably would agree with him if I got to sit down and chat with him about it but he picked a “WHITE HOT” issue to draw a line in the sand on. This smell will stick to him (politically speaking) to the next election.
So if some super-liberal state authorizes organ harvesting from live healthy children, you would forbid Board members from lobbying against it?
Except that when the research shows overwhelming harm from a procedure and no clear gain everyone in Government has a responsibility to protect minors. That’s not political; its a core responsibility.
