They just don’t fight.
They should’ve held Hunter in Contempt of Congress about 3 times, and if DOJ did nothing, it’s on the record and can be cited as precedent.
The other thing is these people have all been up there 18 years or more. Under Trump’s first term, the Republicans held the Senate for his entire term and they had the House his first two years. Hunter and Joe did this stuff since 2012. The Laptop was out, and the Republicans said they didn’t want to look at it.
Could you imagine DJT and Don Jr, having made $30 Million from Foreign communists, and the Dems say we’re not interested in the Laptop with evidence of all the Crimes?
It’s the same cast of characters.
But what have those hearings produced?

I hate it when they waste their time with testimony, hearings, strongly worded letters, etc. The have NO POWER to act.
They DO have the power to act re money. Zero out every budget line item that provides funding to DOJ, FBI, etc. I think it was Friday that MTG was on War Room, and she was adamant about them doing this ASAP. Of course, they’re all on vacation now, and it would be an inconvenience to return to DC and DO THEIR F—KING JOBS to SAVE AMERICA.

When they have the power they still don’t do anything. At those times they could wield the power of the purse, but they refuse to do it. They just keep feeding Fedzilla.
That is part of the myth, the con job, the political scam; and it is nothing bull droppings.
"They" have the power to
- effectively identify and pressure the Rino's within the R party
- to coordinate and act with the entire party as a team in lockstep especially when it interfaces with the MSM
- - to respond immediately and completely in both the Congress and to the public to every contrary claim or action by the Dems
- to take every opportunity to interface with the public about the good work the R's are doing and the contrary work the Dems are doing
- to highlight and propose on the floors of Congress meaningful action as warranted as the result hearings they do hold regardless of whether the proposals are likely to fail
- to essentially act as the Dem party has acted for at least the past 75+ years, but with a higher regard for our nation's principals.
There is certainly more, but I haven't had my first cup of coffee yet.
