You completely misinterpreted what I said which was “It appears that people can ingratiate themselves with him by flattery. We need fighters, not sycophants.”

I never said or suggested that he was sycophant. I was referring to those people that he might hire to work for him, the point being he needs to hire people who relish political combat because that’s what its going to take.

I also dispute your ‘medical professional’ argument. It doesn’t take a psychiatrist to see that he’s got an outsized ego, and its well known that people with such traits love flattery. It may have served him well in the business world, which is all about profits, but in the political world is all about power and persuasion.

I’ve donated bigly to Trump and like the way he fights the Swamp and tries his best to do the right thing for the country. That said, he’s not a god that’s above criticism. Nobody is.

You completely misinterpreted what I said,,,

Thank you for trying to clear that up.

You changed the terms of my "medical argument" and, in doing so, present a different argument, that Trump's hiring decisions were prompted by flattery by virtue of a big ego. Three very big assumptions there.

That said, he’s not a god that’s above criticism. Nobody is.

Thank you for that information. You will have to excuse me if I happen to think it generally unwise for one to criticize in public someone who they support for public office.
