I think the last bit in the post by djstex is spot on target. There is not a doubt in my mind why MAGA is the political tsunami it has become. We see the loss of the very fabric of our lives: no border, an eroded culture, woke religion, economic woes, lawfare used as a weapon to destroy the lives of political opponents.
When Americans see those illegally in our country housed in luxury hotels while they themselves struggle to put food on the table, when speaking out politically or getting politically involved can put a lawfare target on your back, when the government bankrupts our children’s future to fund endless wars they get rich off of, when you are told that everything wrong is your fault because you are not a part of the accepted group think, when children in school rooms are encouraged to identify as any geder or species they choose, when this affects you directly and head on, then you demand change. You demand your country and the traditions, values and freedoms you have always enjoyed, but took for granted, be returned to you.
President Trump (may our Gracious God continue to support and protect him), recognized this and became the Standard Bearer of putting America First. We rally behind him.
I believe as wordy as I get, and please forgive me that fault, this is why MAGA is strong and will not go away.
I have fought and argued on FR with many people. It became personal with some. Why? I refused to adhere to the group think of my Gov, Ron DeSantiss as a fantastic conservative voice and Trump as Orange Man Bad.
Frankly, Ron DeSantis hasn’t grasped America First. Does he embrace the concept? I can’t tell. But I KNOW President Trump does. He embraced iand became the America First Standard Bearer or, US, as djstex succinctly points out.
