Here’s where I knew the FIX was BLATANT:
One of Alvin Bragg’s theories was alluded to in his accompanying letter to the charges. And it’s why, the Trump team tried to put on expert witness Brad Smith, who was the former head of the Federal Elections Commission. Smith was to explain why Trump’s legal payments to Michael Cohen weren’t campaign expenses and why he, as the chairman of the FEC, turned down the request to jack up Trump on charges for them.
In a gasp-inducing decision, Merchan said he would not allow Smith to do anything other than verify definitions of words without offering expert opinion on campaign law. The Trump team decided not to bother. It should have because it may have gotten some leading questions in there, and who knows what would have happened.
Merchan said he didn’t want to “confuse” the jurors because he’s the arbiter of the law. Merchan is not an expert on campaign law. The decision not to put on Smith and take their chances might be the defense’s biggest blunder.
Law Professor Jonathan Turley writes from inside Merchan’s court:

Outrageous. But we all knew the fix was in. What I see most infuriating is the jury and defense was NEVER told what the actual crimes were. But TUH DUH. Out pops Super Merchan to say what the crimes were AFTER the trial minutes before deliberation. And when Biden is reinstalled this Merchan punk will be on the supreme court. God help us.
The last time I was about to be seated as a juror, the judge asked each of us if we would be willing to follow his jury instructions. I told the judge that I could not make that promise because it would depend on what the jury instructions were. I started to show cases where the jury instructions led to an unjust verdict, and the judge dismissed me as a juror.
Interestingly, I used to get called for jury duty every year. I haven’t been called since. I guess I’m on a list.

HOW can this crook be allowed to be a judge????? Every single case he has ever presided over needs to be overturned.
I suspect that these proceedings are very much in favor of both Trump and the US judicial system.
Because: he entire trial is an “in your face” violation of Constitutional rights. It is also corruption, in your face, of the worst kind that the judge’s daughter it profiting in a really big way from this trial. What is occurring there is equal in corruption, if not in dollars, to Hunter Biden’s corruption.
This trial along with the woman judge who stated in court that there is no 2Nd Amendment in her courtroom, should convince all that the NY judicial system is rotten to the core, otherwise both she and Merchan would have been removed from the bench long ago.Remember, it is Trump today and you or me shortly.
I think that when this is all over, there will be meany judges removed.
And I suspect that is why Trump is goading the prosecution in his various cases. Most people are very careful to not offend the judge, as doing so can make your punishment more painful.. Trump is daring them. Not many have that kind of courage.

Jury Tampering , arrest him
Yet another exaggeration by a “journalist.” As in most states, New York has Standard Criminal Jury Instructions [CJI] which all parties have access to. In addition, both the defense and the prosecution submit their own proposed instructions to the court. The court, the prosecution , and the defense then hash out which instructions to submit to the jury. There is no surprise to either party what the final jury instructions are.
There is an overwhelming amount of evidence that the judge is in the tank for the prosecution and Trump is being persecuted. The journalist here, does this contemptible situation a disservice by making things up.

What do these people think they’re going to achieve? Trump could be in prison and we’ll all vote for him. Then what? Assassination? That would be CWII.

Leftists never think anything through - just like this, what do they think will happen to them when PDJT returns to the WH? I get that it’s ‘all or nothing’ to them...but they’re digging their own hole, it’s going to be ‘nothing’. There’s no ‘win’ for them here.
Maybe Merchan will be disbarred within the next two years.
