Read the instructions. They clearly state that conviction on any charge requires a unanimous vote.

Why even have the jury deliberate?

Judge Merchan has already decided that Trump is guilty of innumerous unspecified crimes.

Just let him pronounce his sentence and be done with it.

That's what the Leftists want.

They have not defined the ‘crime’ that was committed.

They have produced no evidence that a crime was committed.

All testimony indicated that everything that was done was legal.

But the prosecution wants to tie it all together with a big red ribbon and say that even though all these things were and are legal, they add up to an illegality that we will not name.........................

The secondary crime - the one th e false business records facilitated - was never charged as a crime. Prosecution said, it was this, or that, or something else, take your pick, but never charged it.

That someone can be charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, but the crime itself never charged to anyone is astonishing.

I hope there are some jurors with enough common sense and enough staunch courage to hold against the others. Two, at least. Merchan could remove one, two would be laughable.

Could this corrupt judge have PDJT handcuffed and thrown in prison, in the event of a conviction?

The judge gave the jurors the unheard-of option of picking any one of three crimes that were "concealed" by the entry of "false business records" and said that all twelve of them didn't necessarily have to agree on which of the three crimes was committed.

How is this not a Fifth Amendment violation to not know what charges are being alleged?

It's the prosecutor's job to choose what crime was committed, and to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that it occurred. It's not up to the jury to choose "one from column A and one from column B" during deliberations.

How can one mount an effective defense when the charges aren't specified upon arraignment?

I don’t see a non-unanimous or especially a non-majority decision impressing the public. Even the libs will find it hard to glorify.

We need to get to where this is heading, quickly.

After securing a pledge to not allow extradition from Gov DeSantis, Trump should get in his plane and fly back to Florida, under the protection of FL LEO and militia.

Then file an emergency appeal to SCOTUS for deprivation of civil rights under the US Constitution, by way of conspiracy.

Gov DeSantis should then order all able-bodied men into the Florida militia, and set the stage to bring all this BS to a screeching stop.

Bragg (slime ball) insists the payments were an illegal payment for the Trump campaign. Thus, he should have used campaign funds instead of his own money. If he did this it would be a clear violation of campaign laws, that is using campaign money for personal use. The FEC would have fined him just as they did Hillary Clinton. In addition this would be a federal matter and not a state matter.

Trump has the financial ability to fight this in court. The average citizen stands no chance in a federal court that has unlimited funds with which to litigate.

The underlying crime of which Trump is guilty is that of being Trump. A Bill of Attainder.
