Alexander Mercouris (I watched two of his videos today) said there aren’t many of them left, and they don’t want to fight. He was using the limit for young as ‘30 and under.’

Based on videos and articles I viewed from different sources over the past months, some young men will have left to surrounding countries as refugees- in some cases they took their families. Those male refugees living in ‘NATO Friendly’ nations were originally welcomed, but have since being pressured to return to the Ukraine to fight by the host government working with Zelensky’s people.

Ukraine has had a man power problem for some time in this war, and they’ve lied when they claim they’ve lost so few.

SOme took refugee status to find housing/heat/water from destroyed infrastructure in hard hit areas.

But Ukrainians have heard about those men poorly trained, poorly equipped and sent to the front lines where they die the same day, with more recent reports claiming they last 3 hours.

They know that ammunition is short, and they will be sent to the front lines with just ‘a little’ ammo.

The Ukraine never received adequate air defense resources to protect men in the field while attacking the 3 lines of Russian dug in defenses. What they get is soon destroyed because they never received the F-16’s Zelensky said they needed to win.

This kind of ammo and air defense and jet disparity between Russia and the Ukraine has to deplete volunteer enthusiasm.

Zelensky has been conscripting men for a long time. Some are boys 15 years of age up to disabled men of 70.

Last year I read and watched videos which said that a group conscripting ordered a pizza, took delivery, and detained the pizza delivery man as a conscript. So word gets around - it probably got harder to get male pizza delivery drivers and other employment which made men available to conscription teams.

With many areas receiving damage, many men likely found employment hard to obtain.

The bulk of the $10 billion that actually is sent to the Urkraine in the last gift package of $65 billion was largely to pay salaries of government officials, pensions, and for emergency services and other humanitarian aid. I don’t know how those whose workplaces were bombed or infrastructure destroyed find work to support themselves.

Zelensky’s people also began posting conscription teams in bomb shelters, and those would detain men trying to escape bombing and instead send them to fight. So then some of those men would crouch in buildings being bombed, sometimes with their families.

A freeper reporting watching a disabled 70 year old man being forcibly conscripted off the streets, and I’ve seen video of those roving conscription teams dragging men to their cars while their wives physical fight the team, trying to pull their husbands away from a quick trip to the front lines.

The Ukraine doesn’t have sufficient medical resources to withdraw the injured from the front lines, so serious injury often means being left, and according to some, involuntary organ harvesting. The Ukraine doesn’t admit to how many they’ve lost to fighting, but a significant portion of their dead couldn’t get adequate treatment for wounds from fighting.

Colonel (ret.) Macgregor said last year that with no ability to evacuate the wounded who can’t fight (I think this was on the front lines in the east), when ‘too many’ were wounded to keep moving them with the troop/platoon etc., there wouldn’t be enough men left to fight while keeping the wounded with them. At this point it wasn’t unusual for the group to radio to the Russians for surrender. They knew the Russians would provide aid and they would be well treated before being sent home at a later point. So Putin made/makes surrender more appealing, or he did at that point.

Mercouris remarked that there weren’t very many young men left - that is likely true because of fear of conscription, or because they were refugees, taking their families with them, and because they don’t want to fight given the Urkraine has been losing for quite some time.

Zelensky has warned the public that all must be prepared to fight, including women. He has scolded the public for going to dance clubs, ordering them to fight instead.

Now even the west is beginning to admit what many Ukrainians would have known - the Ukraine is definitely losing. Many young men would likely want to avoid becoming a casualty in a losing war.

All those months Congress held up funding - the Ukrainians were watching - and now they can also see resources being removed as nations are backing away from promises. F-16’s from one country are now to be expected to arrive in the Ukraine in 2028. I forget which country said recently that it had no resources to send because their own self defense assets were perilously low.

Biden and co. pretended the $65 billion would help win the war, but he knew the Ukraine only gets under 11 billion and that the US would never give the Ukraine the air defenses and F-16s to level the playing field with russia.

Many reasons.
