One speech ready for the guilty verdict—”A convicted felon running for the Presidency, never in the history of beloved democracy has such a thing happened?” An acquittal followed by “We must respect the jury’s decision no matter how outraged it makes us” (kind of like the announcement after the Ritter trial). Or in the case of a hung jury, “Justice demands that Trump be retried immediately for the sake of our democracy.”
