Libertarians for Kennedy Propose Co-Nomination Strategy to Ensure Future Ballot Access and RFK Jr. Debate Access

Libertarians for Kennedy, a group of Libertarians who sought to nominate independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at the party convention, proposed a strategic plan on Wednesday to place Kennedy on certain state ballots. This effort aims to improve future ballot access for the party while also helping Kennedy participate in the presidential debates.

The group initially invited Kennedy to seek the presidential nomination of the Libertarian Party at its convention held this past weekend. The invitation included a letter signed by several state Libertarian Party leaders, delegation chairs, and an alternate regional member of the Libertarian National Committee. Kennedy ultimately joined the Libertarian Party as a sustaining member and filed the appropriate nomination papers but was defeated in the first round of voting.

According to a press release from the organization shared with Independent Political Report, Libertarians for Kennedy are now asking state affiliates to consider running Kennedy and his running mate, Nicole Shanahan, alongside the Libertarian ticket of Chase Oliver and Mike ter Maat. While the group acknowledged and congratulated the Oliver-ter Maat campaign in their statement, they also believe that the prominence of Kennedy as a protest candidate and his potential to participate in the first national debate of the election cycle could help ensure the future viability of the Libertarian Party. They suggested running Kennedy and Shanahan instead in certain strategic states where future ballot access is tethered to candidate performance.

Seems they want the LP to run Oliver Chase in some states, and Kennedy in states where the state LP requires lots of votes to retain ballot access.

Basically an admission that Kennedy is a far stronger candidate than Chase.

Libertarians for RFK Jr??!???😖🤦 Sure he’s anti vaxx, or so he says but the rest of his platform flies in the face of Libertarian principles. This makes as much sense as Queers for Fakestine, or Chickens for KFC

Libertarians for Kennedy

If you're for Kennedy, you're not a libertarian. Simple as that.

Apparently Libertarians don’t care much about liberty, what a bunch of fools.

The essential problem is that Libertarians agree on a single unifying principle, but disagree violently on what implementation of what that principle means.

Therefore, the most pro-life (Ron Paul) AND the most pro-abort (Ayn Rand) type activists will both be found in the Libertarian Party.

Further, some LP members are only skin deep in their Libertarianism. 2020 SHOULD have been their year. The response to COVID SHOULD have been the pivotal issue, the one that allowed them to say, SEE? This is what happens when you give up Liberty!

Unbelievably, a significant portion of party members half-bought the Fauci story, and their issue of the year was government seized-asset forfeiture policy.

If the party wasn’t already so small, and almost intrinsically disorganized, I would see a split.

Why are they true to their beliefs when it comes to Trump but not Junior.

Libertarians are a party of people who cannot compromise on what they want. Everyone there has to be individual and “pure.”

Aren’t Chase and RFK about equal on the platform issues for that party?

It depends on who can do the most to promote the product.

Think NBA all-star game-1990’s. Magic Johnson, HIV positive and retired played in the game otherwise nobody would watch. How can one be an all-star if he doesn’t play?

Next-MLB baseball’s universal DH. Brings more offense in the game but it’s not baseball.

NFL-Where do I start? Can’t touch the QB or the receivers. More offense is what the viewers want. I remember when football was 55% running plays.

That’s right and this group knows it. The L’s have caused a number of elections to be tipped to the rats. Half the time the L candidate is a rat operative who is there to bleed off Republican votes.

*You might be on the wrong thread.*

You may be right but libertarians are not as pure as the wind-driven snow to their cause. Anti-vax Junior is no libertarian. Wrong thread or wrong party?

Oliver is a gun grabbing open border child grooming rag queen lover.

Which side has RFK jr flip flopped this week on those issues?
