President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are tied (42%-42%) in a head-to-head matchup in Virginia, while Biden holds a two-point lead (40%-38%) when other candidates are included, according to the Roanoke College Poll.

Any state Hillary won by less than 5 points should be considered “IN PLAY”
VA Hillary won by just barely over 5 points, and had a Senator from VA as her running mate.
NO one should be surprised that VA is competitive... don’t know if it will flip, but it certainly should be considered competitive.
If Biden loses Virginia, its over for him.
NOVA remembers who butters their bread; that happens to be everyone the government can tax.
Win PA and it’s game over!
I been sayin’ it and sayin’ it. Ain’t I been sayin’ it? (Cue Russell Case from “Independence Day”). The electoral map in play is not who wins. It’s by how much President Trump wins.
ME, NM, MN, VA are def in play.
NOVA voting for Trump is like the chicken voting for Colonel Sanders. We will see how the rest of the state votes.
It is troubling that the “third party” and independent candidates draw more from Trump than Biden. Of course, it’s troubling that anyone would vote for a man as obviously incapacitated as Biden.
Maybe there's more federal employees feed up with the monstrosity than we think. Probably not but we can hope. However, if Trump takes Virginia, it will be on the back of a huge turnout and surge in downstate Virginia.
If Trump wins VA the election is over early in the evening, this may be why i’m hearing insiders say that Younkin will be the VP
If he carried Massachusetts by 70%-25% in 2020 and only leads there by 60%-35% today that would suggest a serious problem nationwide.
I never thought of that...Younkin just might bring VA to DJT...a flip of about 30 EVs.
I really question that after the legislature went back to the Democrats last fall. Youngkin's team did a bad job of letting him play pretend Presidential candidate instead of making sure he had a legislature to work with, and so he's now having to fight them on every idiot bill they pass. He has been good overall, but in addition to losing the legislature, his insistence on trying to build a $2 billion sports complex in NOVA by poaching the DC area teams isn't helping matters at all. Virginia governors only have the one term—though they can run again after a break—and Youngkin lost his focus by listening to the national consultants halfway through instead of having four strong years here and then seeing where he is nationally.
And the stoopit party let fairfax run unopposed….even though there was a willing candidate.
Youngkin is a kinder, gentler Trump in many ways. He ran Carlyle and they did VC and Private Equity deals. He is an accomplished manager and is getting a lesson in government.
Oh the establishment will never let RFK in
Had they nominated him he’d win handily. And I say that as an ardent Trump supporter
I think it would have worked if it was going to be built near Ashburn station in Loundon County.
Instead, it was proposed to be built near Potomac Yards in Alexandria.
Naturally, people did not want to build it in their backyard.
“He is an accomplished manager and is getting a lesson in government.”
*************
Hard to understand why any smart and capable person would want to subject themselves to the morass of government corruption, blood sport and dysfunction. Lots of pain for little gain. Just saying.
The allure of changing policy is intoxicating
