Yep, me too! They were good tractors back in the day. Smooth running with the inline six, and easy to operate. Most farmers would take off the side panels, to make checking or adding oil easy, as well checking fan belt tension. My dad had a model 70, an 88, and a Super 88; all three for a couple years, trading the super 88 for JD 730 diesel in 59.
I drove both the 70 and 88 when I was only 6 years old around the barnyard while my dad supervised. Was driving the JD 730 unsupervised by 7. By 8 years old, I was driving the 88 in the field on various chores.
I messed up, because I got too handy, and was put to work a lot as a little kid. Lol
