Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) would be “extremely honored” to be President Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick, she said this weekend.
Ernst was interviewed on the Breitbart News Memorial Day Weekend special on SiriusXM Patriot 125. She offered a tribute, as a U.S. Army veteran, to those American servicemen and servicewomen who had made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
“I think there are a lot of really wonderful people who are being considered,” Ernst said, after being asked if she would accept the job of being Trump’s running mate if it were offered to her. “And I think that anyone who is offered [the] position, whether it would be me or someone else, I think that it would be such an extreme honor to have that opportunity laid out. I certainly would consider that.”

Sarah Palin was quality. She was left out to dry by her feckless running mate John McCain. Like Trump, she had the right instincts, if not the polish. She was the first national politician to say the Obama “Arab Spring” would be a train wreck. She was right long before any GOPer saw the light.

With a heritage conservative rating of 62%, what do you consider a bad or weak senator?

Trump doesn’t need help winning. He needs help preventing the steal. There’s no point in taking on someone with a questionable commitment to MAGA policies just to get votes that aren’t needed.
No. She stabbed Steve King in the back.
She did not endorse Trump during the primary. I think she was a Nikki fangurl.
No. He leaks to the leftist media too much.

If stuck with an Iowa Senator for VP, give me Chuck. He’s far more reliable politically than Joni. And if the left points at his age have him compete with Biden on anything. Chuck looks and acts Biden’s age ; Biden compared to Chuck looks and acts an old 100. Chuck would survive the term and accomplish more of his duties than Joe has of is this term. Not that I’d pick Chuck as VP, but he’s a fairly well preserved 90, and remains a pretty good Republican, at least judged by the standards of his generation’s GOP Senators. And he has some skilled and loyal staff who’d likely follow him and keep him well propped up. Joni keeps evolving into another Susan Collins.
The best argument for Bannon would be if the left wanted to assassinate Trump they’d get a royally pissed Bannon in trade. Can’t imagine anyone more likely than that Bannon to do whatever needed doing to take out the guilty and finish Trump’s program. And anyone on the left who’s paying attention and has more than a room temperature IQ — there must be some amongst their puppeteers — must know that and may decide leaving Trump is preferable.
No to her or any woman. Just NO!
NO.
Tom Cotton. Safe seat and a brilliant mind.
It’s again time to dust off the Tulsi Gabbard punch list, as too many on here don’t seem to know anything about her, except they want to date her, I guess.
Ban assault weapons
Ban fossil fuels
Ban nuclear energy
Pay reparations
Citizenship for Dreamers
Unlimited abortions
Medicare for all
This is her platform for her last campaign. Please, Freepers, tell me what you love about this? I am at a loss.
Tulsi is liberal.
We can say we like that she left the Democrat Party and that she’s an independent now. But she’s no conservative.
Well so would I but its not going to happen. 🙄
I remember she was a darling of FR back then. Bush era RINO
I’d prefer Tom Fitton. I used to get them mixed up but Tom Cotton is the pencil neck geek guy and Tom Fitton is the guy that’s jacked
