It hasn’t set yet, but since we live in the desert, the evenings cool off pretty quickly. I HOPE!! LOL! Hubby will call the repairman tomorrow. No point today on the holiday.
Appliances ALWAYS poop out on a Holiday Weekend. It’s a Law Of Nature. LOL.
Your AC conked out???!!! YIKES!!!!!! I hope it won’t take long to get it fixed!!
Ain’t it the truth!
Yes! Fingers crossed he will come tomorrow or the next day. We do have all the portable fans going and so far it hasn’t been awful. We’re trying not to move around a lot. Hopefully our humidity stays low enough to cool the night down.
I hope he makes it there tomorrow! But this time of year is slammin’-jammin’ for HVAC repairmen and they can only do so much in a day. My nephew is a repairman and they put in long days this time of year.
Fingers crossed for luck!
I have them tightly crossed that they can get to us fairly early. The good news is that it’s only supposed to hit the 80s on Wednesday, so that will give some relief.
Isn’t this just the way things happen? Pick the hottest day to decide to break!
I hope things aren’t too warm there this week. And I also hope that the storms are fading away.
Murphy’s Law gotcha. I really hope they’ll show up tomorrow so you don’t have to sweat it out anther day.
Last night was the last hurrah and there are no storms the rest of the week. Highs in the low 80s through Friday. More rain over the weekend but nothing crazy, and it’ll warm up a few degrees.
Actually, I for one haven’t really sweated. I closed up the house to keep in the cool air that had been produced before the AC became a screaming banshee, and turned on the small fans we have all over the house. Hubby also turned on the humidifier to help with cooling. Tomorrow might be another story. However, the humidity outside is only 10% and when I went out to feed the kitties, it felt pretty good. I’d sit out there, but really don’t want to. LOL!
I’m so glad that the storms have played out. It’s been quite the wild ride throughout the region. Even in East Texas. Glad our trip wasn’t this past week. Ugh.
Yeah, tomorrow could be different since the house won’t be cooled by AC to begin with. That’s why I hope they show up tomorrow and show up early, before the house has time to heat up in the sun. The low humidity helps but heat is still heat.
It’s still pretty humid here but not as bad as last night. It’s also only 70 compared to it being 80 this time last night. The temp didn’t drop until the storm line reached here a little after 3 a.m. Then it dropped in a hurry.
Everyone in the eastern half of the country is happy to be through with the storm fronts. Texas up into Nebraska and Iowa have had it the worst but it’s been plenty nasty over this way too. Boring weather forecasts will be appreciated.
That’s what I’m afraid of, but hopefully, they won’t have 20 customers ahead of us. Really hadn’t budgeted for this though. Isn’t that what always happens, too? LOL!
70 sounds so wonderful. It’s now 82 here, so that’s a good thing. Did you get a chance to sit out on the patio for a while? Are the fireflies still hanging around?
This time of year, there’s no telling how far down the list you are. Could be a slow spell and not many people have “sick” ACs right now, and that would be good.
I hope it turns out to be a relatively inexpensive fix.
I wanted to sit on the patio but the pollen was pretty bad today. A quick walk-around to check for wind damage was all it took to keep me in the rest of the day.
The lightning bugs will be around for a while. They’re around for most of the summer.
Bummer that the pollen is still around to keep you indoors. It sounds like the perfect evening for sitting out. Is there ever a time in the summer when NOTHING is producing pollen? LOL!
There’s always something pollinating during summer here, if it’s just grass. Right now, I think it’s the chestnut trees that are wearing me out. There’s a huge one out back by the barn and others scattered around that are doing their thing. MAYBE this is the last of the tree pollen and things will get down to a dull roar.
I sure hope so. Having allergies for this many months can wear you out.
I guess I’d better finish up the show and head out. It’s now 79 here and the house doesn’t feel that bad. The fans have helped a lot. Luckily, I’m a bit cold-natured, so there is that. See ya tomorrow!
LOL I have allergies year-round. No pollen during winter but there’s always dust. You learn to live with it, and I’ve lived with it all my life. Tissues and nose spray are staples. :-)
Sleep well and good luck getting the AC fixed SOON!
Catch ya tomorrow for the quiz.
AC guy is on his way! Now if it’s fixable and not as pricey as the national debt.
Aaaaand....it’s fixed! Ahhhh........
WOOHOO!!!!! Glad it’s fixed!!
I hope you didn’t have to wipe out your savings account to pay the bill. :-)
Why not? :-)
