Compression by a knee in that area does not even compress one of the two carotid arteries (these carry oxygenated blood to the brain). Note that his airway, with head turned is open as is his mouth, and he was breathing. However he already had a bolus of fentanyl in is a@@/rectum, and his blood levels (never entered into evidence!!) was 9 time LD50 (that’s pharmacy lingo for Lethal Dose 1/2). He was dying when they pulled up to try to subdue him— he was becoming anoxic from fentanyl massive overdose. There is NO doubt about this- the chemistry would not have responded to narcon— too damn much in solution/blood.
