A Missouri police officer gunned down a beloved deaf and blind dog Sunday, first claiming he was putting it out of its misery before backtracking and saying the 13-pound pup made him fear for his life.
The disturbing killing was captured in the cop’s bodycam footage — and happened just three minutes after the officer arrived to find the escaped dog exploring a neighbor’s yard.
“If you watch the video, the dog is very playful and happy and kind of turned his head when he noticed somebody’s there, looking for somebody to touch him as he’s always done,” grieving owner Nicolas Hunter told The Post Friday night.

I was referring to, if the officer had taken the dog to the humane center as a job well done. Not shooting the dog.

I was saying that, if the owner had chipped his pet which he might have and the officer had taken the dog to the humane centre where the owner would have been quickly located, it would have been a job well done.

Obviously it’s too late at that point.
I don’t understand cops shooting obviously harmless dogs.
It would have taken 15 minutes of his time, with congrats from the community, if he had just taken it to the local humane centre.
My city police force is very good, I’m finding. We had a homeless guy bring in a dog, a pittie. She was very friendly and well-mannered. One of the offiers took it home to care for it until the owner was able to be located.

No surprise here, considering he called me at home two Sundays ago threatening to press charges against me for throwing trash in a local dumpster. When I informed him it was my law office trash and I have been in that location for over eight years now, the conversation ended quickly. He’s always in our neighborhood pulling people over for doing two over, etc. My guess is he won’t be bothering us much longer.
He has no soul.
