Never thought I'd see Jews being chased down the streets of America.

I talked to a Holocaust survivor a couple of decades ago.

I asked her if she thought something like it could ever happen here.

She was adamant, it could never happen in the USA.

I said the USA was becoming more and more authoritarian.

While she wasn't completely transparent, the impression I got was she was a dedicated leftist, and it could not happen in the USA because the left would never do anything like that.

It was a surreal moment.
