The guy is a convicted drug dealer. What more can be said. Why should he be freed if in fact he’s guilty as charged and convicted beyond any doubt. What am I missing here?

It is sort of a "platform vs. publisher" argument...he ran the "Silk Road" platform...others sold the drugs. (I didn't look up the evidence in the case, but I think the argument is that he was not "dealing", just running the "marketplace").
