The feds never should have changed the name from Mount McKinley. Longtime Alaskans would disagree with you. It should never have been named after some dead white guy to begin with. While I disagree with how Obama restored it to its rightful name I'm glad the name we always used was finally acknowledged. Before the change only outsiders and short timers referred to it as McKinley.
