If they don’t the GOP could be labled in Ohio in November with the same complaint (valid in the GOP case) that Dims are using “lawfare” to try to keep Trump off the ballot.
The culprit here is the DNC. Alabama decided to allow Biden to be on the ballot even though he had the same issue there as in Ohio.
On the flip side, what if they put Biden on the ballot, but then the dems swap Biden for someone else during the August convention?
“If they don’t the GOP could be labled in Ohio in November with the same complaint (valid in the GOP case) that Dims are using “lawfare” to try to keep Trump off the ballot.”
Except it isn’t “Lawfare”. “Lawfare” would be OH suing the Dems to keep them OFF the ballot.
The law has been in place for a good long while (multiple election cycles), and the Dems always managed to schedule things to meet the deadlines.
Dems quite plainly pooched it, and they should have to follow the rules.
Dewine is an absolute idiot for pushing a special session for this. “Special sessions” are for completing the regular business of the Legislature - not for giving special favors to idiot commies who can’t put a calendar together. “I’m out of patience” - wtf does Dewine think he is, bH0?
What lawfare? The Dems knew the Ohio cut off date when they decided what date to hold their nomination.
