Mike Johnson Backs Allowing Ukraine to Strike Russia with U.S.-Provided Weapons

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Wednesday appeared to back allowing Ukraine to use American-provided weapons to strike Russia or Russian-controlled territory.

One reporter asked Johnson about a House Intelligence Committee letter calling on the Biden administration to allow Ukraine to strike Russia with American-supplied weapons.

The letter stipulates that this would allow Ukraine to strike “Russian-controlled territory” as well as Russian territory and represents a significant escalation in America’s seemingly endless proxy war against Russia.

I know I lack the influence to affect U.S. policy and am guessing you probably do, too. Just have to wait and see how the war plays out. Maybe there won’t be as much death and destruction as I’m expecting before this thing is over.

Up to now, Ukraine has suffered trillions of dollars in damage, and if that's just 'damage', then you had better go back into your mother's womb to hopefully grow the brain which never developed.

To undo the destruction, or to rebuild Ukraine, would require trillions of dollars and decades of rebuilding. To rebuild the lives lost from the invasion, well, it's not possible. That's garbage. Putin was looking for the slightest excuse to go into Ukraine, and his ambition to reconstitute the Soviet Union did not need any excuse. Putin's provocation was his desire to rebuild the USSR. He's stated that goal many times in the past. So, stop the justification and rationalization. It's dumb.

We can take away the oil and gas funding that is helping Putin right now, but even that takes time fo put into effect. So, no, he can't stop the war quickly, no matter how much he talks about it and no matter how much you believe he can do it. Get real. This is not a movie; this is the real world.
