Women are paying big money to scream, smash sticks in the woods. It's called a rage ritual.

That’s what I’m talking about. I was working outside in the yard most all of the day, and I probably was very near this snake for parts of it. They say they’re more scared of me than I am of them, but I’m not too sure about that. I might throw a cinder block on his head if he gets that close to me again.

Also, it reminds me, I have to go set up snake deterrents because I have birds with nests and eggs nearby. The post each sits on would make it too easy to get into for a snake. That’s on my task list for first thing in the morning, and I hope I won’t be too late.

it isn’t fair for less economically advantaged (poorer) women to have to beat up their husbands when they could be beating up grizzly bears and redwood trees in the forest

let’s raise our taxes to provide forest rage trips as a new entitlement for the fairer sex

the husbands will certainly agree

Egad! The posts will write themselves here...

It is hard for me to imagine ANY conservative woman doing this, but I can visualize a LOT of Leftist Karens paying money to do that.

I find snakes interesting, but owning one? No.

I have to admit-I have always liked chipmunks. I like their sleek form, striped bodies, and flat out industriousness. And, like red squirrels, they seem to drink expresso all day long.

So it was sad for me when I had to start treating them like vermin. They were destroying my yard burrowing under it.

I have always thought the most dangerous things to men my age were stepladders and slippery showers.

With those depressions caused by the chipmunk burrows, I thought THEY might be out to get me.

So my wife has me get rid of them. She is far more cold, pragmatic, and non-sentimental than I am about this, but when it comes to eliminating them, I guess it has to be my job. Her job is growing things, so that is her job.

I do backyard photography as a hobby, and that includes a lot of critters at this house. I have some really cute chipmunk shots. We trap them when they get into our garage or basement, spray paint their tails, and let them go. If we get one with paint on him, he doesn’t get a second reprieve. They are so destructive. Sometimes it does seem like they’re after us!

It’s a biblical thing.

It is indeed sir. Since one tempted Eve to eat the fruit 🍎 in the Garden of Eden, mankind has had an aversion to snakes.

Oh, for a shade type garden, in lieu of hostas, I also planted
woodland hyacinths, and astilbe. The deer apparently are not interesting in the astilbe, and once the plants mature some, produce some nice flowers. They spread fairly readily.

Hey, this is a great idea. Get people to come to my property and clear brush, break it up into pieces, and burn it, and call it *rage therapy* and charge for it.

What was I thinking for missing this great opportunity???

No need for raging with sticks if you accept that where you are in life is of your own making. You may not like it but it’s easy easy. lol

Every day I look at my lovely Korean wife - non-westernized and actually from Korea, my slender, very feminine, beautiful girl with her long black hair - and I thank my lucky stars all over again.
My life’s work at this point is to attend to her every desire.

A Quincy episode had a similar plot device.

People in hot tubs screaming about how much they hate themselves.
