Yeah, there’s a thread about FR being slow. It was slow off and on last night too.

I’ve never seen a tornado spit out vortices like that one did. I got a s cap and it’s my desktop wallpaper now. Beautiful, yet horrifying for those in its path.

No, that cam was on. A cam op was moving it around. They’ve done it before, many times, to look around the area.
It, like a lot of other cams, has a “windshield wiper” to knock the raindrops off. The cam at Lake Hood can startle you when they want to get rid of raindrops because the whole housing shakes. I thought Anchorage had been hit with a huge quake the first time I saw it happen. LOL

Ohhhh, ok then. That makes sense. I guess I’d never noticed that nest having a wiper in the past. Or maybe they didn’t...in the past.

It was a very frightening tornado all right. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that looked like 5 in 1 before. It was sucking in dirt and stuff from a long way from the actual vortex. Really destroyed that little town. There have been a lot of destructive ones in that general area in the past month.
