He’s never been elected to any judicial position he’s held. He was a family court judge back in the late 2000’s, then in 2009 he was appointed to his current post as justice of the New York Supreme Court.
So what is his position now, that justifies him hearing this case? Do the other NY Supreme Court justices also hear cases that are not Supreme Court jurisdiction?
