Horrific week for the prosecution. Hung jury now looks like the likeliest outcome.

Cohen waived attorney-client privilege a while ago.
Haven’t been watching—why does Turley think Costello is the kill shot and for whom? The prosecution or the defense. Thanks.

There’s nothing in the statute that requires a CONVICTION first, or ever, in fact.
They’re SUPPOSED to wait until deliberations.
Unfortunately for the prosecution, Cohen just testified that he never signed a retainer with Costello (which is why he refused to pay him), so according to Cohen’s testimony, Costello was never his attorney and so no privilege applies.
Totally and absolutely agree.
Let’s assume, for the sake of argument, that they’re not waiting until deliberations. The fact that observers have indicated that a number of the jurors have shown negative reactions to the prosecution witnesses, is encouraging. It means that any social pressure to automatically convict has not been completely successful. It may even be working the other way around. We’ll see.
Nope, shrugger is fine. The hand on the other one is about twice as dark as the hair. Looks like somebody is smacking her in the eye. The things I notice....

They have not elucidated a crime. This has been pointed out several times. They are making it “into” a crime which would not be a State crime, but a Federal one- one which was already looked at by the FEC and said— no foul, no charge.
I’m not sure what Turley’s reasoning is, but IMO, Costello would be a kill shot for the defense because his testimony would provide the jury with an explanation for why Cohen has lied. It would explain why Cohen paid Daniel’s on his own without Trump’s knowledge (i.e. to impress Trump) and why he’s lied since then (i.e. to stay out of jail and for revenge against Trump because he blames Trump for his legal troubles and resents the fact that he was bypassed for a slot in Trump’s administration.) It would complete the picture for the jury.

You can take some boy out of Colombia, but can’t keep the cartel cocaine money from Colombia (via Mehico) out of the boy playing “judge” for the money train.
This is an opinion, but the Goldman money has got to be part of the corruption.. at the very least. No one riding herd on this “judge” within the NY system? There has to be, but maybe not in the new Tammany Hall NY State.
