[Songcraft]

This story reminded me of a book that was out quite a long time ago called "The Happy Hooker".   It made me curious to see if the author of that book was still alive, and it turns out google says she is, and that she is 80 years old, living in the Netherlands.

She must have been a walking germ-bag, and must have caught and spread lots of things from and to "clients" over the years, but they say she left that line of work a long time ago, and, believe it or not, she's still alive out there.   That surprised me.

Xaviera Hollander. I recall smuggling that paperback book upstairs to my bedroom, for private viewing and study.
It was inside a bag with Time Magazine, Boy’s Life, and Slo-Poke chocolate bars.

Her book came out the same year that The Godfather did.
I liked the book even more.
The Godfather was one of Marlon Brando’s most well known roles, to be followed the next year by Last Tango In Paris, a movie some found disturbing, others found titillating.
