“Signs of life” means somebody jumping around at the crash site signaling for somebody to rescue them when you fly over.

Dead bodies don’t do that.

When they actually land at the crash site they will find them.

I’ve seen one copter crash close up. No bodies, just a few body fragments.

I was advised: don’t go look.

Likely incinerated since the Chopper (called on purpose) was most likely carrying a full load of Jet A.
