Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump accepted the endorsement of the National Rifle Association at the NRA Leadership Forum in Dallas on Saturday afternoon.
"It's a true honor to be here today to receive the endorsement of the proud American patriots at the NRA," Trump told the forum in a speech that aired live and in its entirety on Newsmax and the Newsmax2 streaming platform. "These are great patriots. These are great people, and we're going to do things like nobody can believe.
"We're going to win this election at levels that nobody's ever seen before. Thank you very much for that endorsement — means a lot to me."

....darn....that is a good price for that particular gun...got one several years ago at a local gun show but paid a bit more for it than that....a fun gun to shoot but be sure to check ALL of the screws in the frame, especially the two in the backstrap...have a tendency to work loose..

I will defend President Trump as coming from an American upbringing that did not focus on the American Revolution Causes and Principles, the reason for the Second Amendment, the lack of Firearms orientation and interest, and the normalcy of Elite organizations.
President Trump has embarked on a Learning Curve, I believe he is well on his way to staunch 2A support. (He might even become a politician.)
I will make no excuses for the NRA, they knew better from the start, and chose to line their pockets.

Good point. Also, Trump has called for the imposition of red flag laws:

President Trump is a squish on the 2nd Amendment, as evidenced by your quote re: red flag laws. He’s never to my knowledge acknowledged that he made a mistake on banning bump stocks.
So he needs to be measured by actions. Hopefully he’s learned his lesson.
At the risk of stating the obvious, the choice isn’t between Jeff Cooper and Aaron Zelman.
Doesn’t mean that we should let Trump off of the hook, but he’s not even in the same ballpark as Biden and the Democrat gun grabbing machine.
