Jury members in Donald Trump's criminal hush money trial are being "treated like chumps," says legal analyst Jonathan Turley. He also believes star prosecution witness Michael Cohen suffered a "dramatic implosion" on Thursday.
Turley, who is a frequent Fox commentator and professor at George Washington University Law School, expresses extreme doubt in a blog that the prosecution has any basis for conviction and poses the question of whether the jury "is realizing that they are being played by the prosecution."
He also says: "With the dramatic implosion of Michael Cohen on the stand on Thursday with the exposure of another alleged lie told under oath, even hosts and commentators on CNN are now criticizing the prosecution and doubting the basis for any conviction." In an email statement to Newsweek, Turley clarifies, saying: "The Cohen testimony not only highlighted his long legacy of lies but continued claims of false statements in this very trial," adding that "Cohen left the government without a single credible witness to establish any criminal intent by Trump."

From Newsweak no less. It must have been really bad for them to admit this.
Aronberg’s statement is almost a verbatim quote from Norm Eisen who has been commenting at CNN , no doubt organized the whole lawfare scheme and has provided the MSM talking points throughout the trial
I will be impressed if the Manhattan jury shows enough intellectual capacity to realize they’re being played.
It’s really cute that anybody, never mind Turley, thinks that matters one iota. They want to jail the Donald and that’s how this works.
How do you build a firewall around a witness?
Funny Newsweek, CNN etc. But not PBS. From PBS Newshour: “But on the whole, Cohen was a pretty firm, soft-spoken, steady witness today.”.
If the jury is comprised, and I think they are, of people from the sub reddits of law or inthenews, they don’t think they are being played. They are ready to convict and don’t need any evidence. Bragg is counting on that. These people are nuts.
It’s Friday so the staff at Newsweak can go to the bar after work and get hammered.
Trump’s lawyers didn’t try to alter the jury? Usually a defense team does. It’s not like every single person in NYC cares about politics, and jury pols tend to end up less educated.
In the case of Cohen, I suggest luring him into the cellar with the promise of a Cask of Amontillado. Then, when he's not expecting it, you chain him to the wall. After that, you just need some bricks and mortar.
A thousand injuries Fortunato bore me, but when he ventured insult, I vowed revenge.
new York area radio 1010 Wins….Michael Cohen remained unrattled
...chuckle...
You just took me back to my junior year English lit class.

Beginning to read like a Perry Mason episode.....
Cohen was Trump’s best friend at the trial, he derailed the whole thing.
If the trial continues to be proceed in the Stalinist style the DemocRATS adore, the ‘verdict’ is already in. The appeals courts could throw this crap out. If, by some miracle, the current jury does not convict, the DemocRATS and DemoKKKrats will continue to hound President Trump. He is in the way. The Hussein/Biden Regime is preparing, as we speak, to hound President Trump if he returns to the Oval Office. They will continue to weaponize CIA-FBI-NSA-FSB in order to, if not eliminate, inhibit President Trump’s ability to accomplish anything substantial. On the other hand, since much of the Hussein/Biden Regime accomplishments are by executive fiat (Executive Orders) President Trump can counter much of it with his own EOs.
It's not "nuts" to understand power and how to exercise it.
What's nuts is marching a libertarian small/no government army of would be individualists out to fight bolsheviks.
That's REALLY nuts.
