President Donald Trump’s national polling advantage has narrowed to less than one percent since he became the presumptive Republican nominee in the race for the White House.
In two Southern battlegrounds, Georgia and North Carolina, his lead looks stronger at five-and-a-half points and six points, respectively.
But can the region be written off as solidly Trump? The answer isn’t so obvious in key cities, counties, and polling places....
On the ground, conservatives sense weakness.
“Republicans have got to organize the grassroots to the same level [as] the Democrats,” a local GOP insider told The Epoch Times.
That sentiment was echoed by every Republican and conservative from the area who spoke with The Epoch Times.
Some also worried the RNC isn’t spending enough, even after Michael Whatley, former chair of the North Carolina GOP, took over the national party from Ronna McDaniel.

Indivisible Charlotte’s webpage showcases numerous events in late April and early May: canvassing, postcard writing, even Taco Tuesdays. The group is just one grassroots organization among many. Pastor Leon Threatt, a member of Matthews’ Board of Commissioners who has previously run for office as a Republican, told The Epoch Times that local Democrats “operate far more as activists than the Republicans.”

Lara Trump puts election lawyers on the ground to keep him in line.
When the Democrats speak of the "ground game," it's not just the "Get Out The Vote" precinct walkers that they're referring to. It's also the election lawyers who soften the ground by writing warning letters, by pushing changes to election law, to advising election officials to make "executive orders" that might not be legally within their authority but will not be appealed until after the election.
When Ronna McDaniel spoke of the ground game, she put one lawyer in each state and focused on fundraising that would get mis-allocated.
Lara Trump needs to treat the ground game like she's storming Normandy. She needs dozens of lawyers in each state to challenge what the Democrats are doing, but also to push the state Republicans in the legislature and state GOP to act (and keep rogues like Brad Raffensperger from interfering).

There is ZERO chance of NC or GA going Biden in 2024... but yes you should always focus on GOTV etc...
But anyone thinking either of these states are going to go Biden is just smoking some good weed.

1) There is no ranked-choice voting in GA, and there is no chance in the forseeable future. Raffy may say he wants it, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the 2024 election.
2) Whatever Kemp’s reason for signing election reform, it’s still the law, and it’s a major improvement over the old laws. Libs screamed bloody murder, but multiple courts have upheld it.
Some folks want to turn lemons into lemonade. Some folks want to turn lemonade into sourpuss lemons.

Correct. They excite the base, which is needed, but that doesn't win the election. The folks sitting at home watching their favorite TV shows will, and they aren't affected by rallies...they are affected by TV and radio advertising. Biden crushed this in 2020, and he is crushing it again - flush with mountains of cash swamping the GOP. Allow Biden and the Democrats to have complete control of the narrative again for the whole election cycle like in 2020 will not result in victory. Being outworked, out organized, and outraised is not a winning strategy.

Trump’s rallies are like a traveling revival. A place to worship and seek reaffirmation through being in the presence of Donald. Impressive as the rallies are, they are gatherings of the faithful.It is my opinion they do little to sway the undecided and do nothing to allow Trump to take full advantage of the change in the election paradigm.
Great news, but so far from election day. An eternity to go.
