Political commentator Alyssa Farah Griffin said Thursday on CNN’s coverage of former President Donald Trump’s business record trial that witness Michael Cohen after the defense lawyer Todd Blanche’s cross-examination.
Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Michael Cohen says he never sought a job at the white house. Bryan Lanza here who worked on the 2016 campaign, says, that’s not true. He recalls Michael Cohen wanting to be White House council. We have some journalists on our panel here saying that’s not true. They were recalling Michael Cohen saying he was going to join the White House. He was very excited to do so.”
He asked, “Tell me, what do you think?”

“He hires people based on how convincingly they suck up to him.”
I always assumed he hired people mostly based on physical appearance. So often in rallies he’ll point out people and say they’re “good looking”, or “right out of Central Casting”, or similar.
Maybe things will change next time around.
In a system dominated by corruption how does one fill all of the patronage positions without having to hold one’s nose occasionally and hope they are low on the corruption meter?
Love his stone cold poker face!! 😍
Cohen knows he won’t be charged with perjury.
Sad but true. A real character flaw.
Maybe things will change next time around.
I would like to think so, but it's hard for a leopard to change its spots. He says he values loyalty above all, so that argues for Steely Tom's opinion that he bases his hiring decisions on how convincingly they suck up to him. But I've seen him say many times what you point out, and it has always bothered me.
Either way, it's a big fault of his. But I'd still be willing to crawl over broken glass with bare hands and knees to vote for him this November. If he wins, though, I expect he will make similar mistakes in his new administration, but hopefully fewer.
Yes. So true! Unfortunately, Ivanka and Jared were 2 of the VERY worst liberal advisors and he trusted their horrible recommendations. SO glad they are now invisible.
Why? That’s what he does — with the full support and encouragement of the DA’s office.
That’s at least two lies he’s been caught in so far.
Has the Jury voted him guilty yet?
Don’t worry. Trump will not win.
OMG, he’s gorgeous!
Gee a convicted liar gets caught lying
I don’t understand what you’re trying to say. Please explain.
I strongly suspect he's going to do that again when he takes office next January.Who the F cares?
Trump accomplished more for Americans in a 4 year term than any President in your lifetime.
During cross it was discovered that Cohen not only recorded Trump without his knowledge but also 99 other conversations. 40 were to reporters. They did not say who other calls were too.
Lincoln’s famously said.”Too many pigs, not enough tits.”
They are probably trying to figure out how to disbar him right now.
I think you are exactly right. He is a bit narcissistic and definitely expends a tremendous amount of energy feeding his own ego.
Makes him very easy to manipulate by the right kind of person.
But I've known managers like that during my career.
Makes him very easy to manipulate by the right kind of person.
Yeah, that's the problem. Well, one of the problems.
The other problem with managers like that is that they tend to do whatever the last person they talked to advised them to do.
I kinda agree and disagree. He hired people whom he thought were going to help him politically. That turned out not to be the case.
The best people were the ones he brought with him.
As for people like Cohen? He was a lap dog. An errand boy.
I can assure you he will not do this again.
