CNN will trust Jake Tapper and Dana Bash with moderating the first presidential debate of the 2024 election cycle.
President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, the presumptive nominees for each of their respective parties, both agreed to two debates — one hosted by CNN on June 27 and another hosted by ABC News in September — earlier on Wednesday.
“CNN Anchors @JakeTapper and @DanaBashCNN will moderate CNN’s Presidential Debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump on June 27 from Atlanta, Georgia. The debate will air live at 9pET on @CNN channels, CNN.com and on CNN Max,” read a statement posted online by CNN.
ABC News has not yet said who it will task with moderating the second scheduled debate on September 10.
Meanwhile, Trump has agreed to a third debate in October that he said would be hosted by Fox News’ Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, but Biden’s team has already indicated that he will not agree to such a forum.

For the love of all that is holy, why do we continue this humiliating surrender? Honestly thought things would be different with Trump and Laura Trump, but no, we continue to willingly cede debates. Why? Is there any doubt whatsoever that CNN, ABC, and whomever will decidedly step in to help Biden when he locks up? Extremely disappointing.
CNN moderating?
So, they will prepare the questions, make sure that they are all pro Biden, brief the child sniffing and daughter showering perv for days and days before the debate and edit the results?
Why debate? Could some sane, intelligent, and educated folks run the damned thing for once? This means NO ‘tards with journalism or studies degrees.

ALSO, take note FReepers: Whenever Trump gets in a kill shot against Biden the CNN cameras will switch to "LONG SHOT" to deaden the impact. I have noticed this before, almost like clockwork and I hope more people pay attention to this underhanded tactic.
Furthermore, Biden's mic will be juiced and Trump's will be muted a bit to lessen Trump's impact.
What the hell is wrong with President Trum? He should know better than to have any debate with Biden on CNN or ABC all he has to do is remember his past history with the legacy media.
He not only had to debate Biden he also had to debate the Rat moderators.

Anything, as long as he agrees to this, which I do not suppose he will.
It will definitely be stacked against Trump, but he might be able to turn that into a positive if the bias is too obvious, in the same way that the lawfare campaign has backfired.
If I were Trump and I saw that Biden was wearing and earpiece, I’d call him out on it on live TV and ask him to remove it. I’d also comment about how he seems like a different person (assuming he shows up as Jacked Joe rather than Doddering Joe) from what we normally see. Don’t accuse him of anything, just throw it out there. The implication will be clear. In the likely event that Jacked Joe shows up, that can also work to Trump’s advantage. When Jacked Joe gets challenged, he doesn’t handle it well. Jacked Joe only works if he has a tele-prompter to read and isn’t being challenged or questioned. When MTG interrupted his state of the union, he didn’t handle it well.

Trump is good at needling people. He just needs to find the best way to get under Joe’s skin without looking mean. He needs to be calm and let Joe be the one to lose his temper.
I have seen that question before. The theory would be that if Biden does not "look good" in the first debate, they will replace him. But then what would they do with the 100 million ballots they already printed?
IMHO: It doesn’t matter whose network, moderator, candidates, et cetera are. If the candidate can’t handle the heat, he shouldn’t be running. Trump is well prepared to fight back no matter what.
The only people Trump needs to be combative with is the moderators when they jump in to try and save Biden. If Slow Joe shows up, Trump doesn’t want to come across looking like a bully. He just needs to point out Biden’s policy failures and, in an almost pitying way, point out that he’s not mentally or physically fit to hold the office of the Presidency.
If Jacked Joe shows up, Trump needs to stand up to him not so much that undecideds walk away saying “They’re both unhinged jerks”. People need to walk away from the debate with a clear impression that Biden was the one who was combative, not Trump.
My concern is that another Chris Wallace character will lie about Trump, and retarded audience members will say, “The moderator said Trump is wrong!” And then later “Biden won the debate!” Like a bad referee in sports.
If I were biden I would beef up my secret service protection.

Legitimizing the dying broadcast media by agreeing to a moderated debate is not a good idea. CNN, ABC and even Fox are entities not far from extinction. Even if the Biden camp agrees to a debate, we are still looking at a 2:1 ratio in favor of overtly leftist media outlets.
