When you go into the voting booth, it’s easy to focus on the big races. Those high-profile contests at the federal and state level get the most coverage, and you can do your homework and learn about the candidates. If you have your ear to the ground or have decent local media, you can do the same with some local races.
But every state has those down-ballot races that are often nonpartisan and don’t get much media coverage. It’s easy to ignore races like these when you don’t know anything about the candidates.
Georgia has one of those races this year that is buried way down on next Tuesday’s ballot, but it’s one of the most pivotal and important contests all year. Nestled among a slew of nonpartisan statewide races with unopposed incumbents is the race for a seat on the Supreme Court of Georgia.
This state court race is crucial because several of the laws that Georgia’s General Assembly has enacted are likely to face court challenges in the near future. ... Election integrity laws and bills that protect girls’ sports ... Having justices on the court who will rule fairly on these matters and not look at them with an agenda is vitally important.
The incumbent in this race is Justice Andrew Pinson.
....
Because of his age, Pinson could serve on the court for a long time. Because of his philosophy of jurisprudence, he would continue to rule fairly on dozens of cases without applying an agenda to them.
...
It’s tempting to ignore these down-ballot races, but Georgians can’t afford to let a left-wing activist judge have a seat on the highest court in the state. Here’s hoping Georgia voters do the right thing.

I bet $oro$ isn’t going to overlook this election - here or elsewhere.
Evil people like he and his spawn were spending millions and millions on DA races and the ongoing Trump lawfare is the result.
Does the League of Women Voters still provide information on all the races and candidates?
Nice words, but the above does identify the Soros-sponsored liberal Democrat party choice.
There are 4 elections for GA Supreme Court this year. Three of the 4 incumbents are unopposed.
Only Pinson is opposed, being challenged by liberal former Congressman John Barrow. Barrow undoubtedly is being bankrolled by extremist leftists, but has not filed any reports so whatever he’s got is “dark money”. Pinson has filed the required financial reports (he’s raised about $1 million at last report); Barrow apparently is ignoring the law.
Barrow, like every Democrat everywhere, is running on being rabidly pro-abortionist while accusing his opponent of being “anti-woman”. Why not? It works most of the time, even in so-called “red” states.
Naturally he also decries “partisanship” on the bench. Which is of course laughable in today’s lynch-all-Republicans lawfare world. Barrow, as an extremely partisan Democrat, would fit right in.
The most important vote in this election is to make Dacula a city called Mulberry.
I’m not in Georgia. The question was meant generally.
