Trump Rally Draws Between 80-100k on the Beach in Wildwood, NJ; May Be 'Largest' in 'State History'
Red State ^ | 5/11/24 | Nick Arama

Posted on 05/12/2024 6:48:36 AM PDT by Jim W N

I wrote about the run-up to former President Donald Trump's speech in Wildwood, New Jersey, that you had people camping out on the beach since Thursday to make sure they got seats at the rally. I have a friend there who camped out Friday night and woke up to hundreds around him this morning, who were there already, long before the 5 p.m. speech.

It was taking on a Woodstock kind of a feel and yes, they were registering people to vote.

The energy here in Wildwood is ELECTRIC!

I’ve never seen so many young people at a Trump rally.

Gen Z is coming out for Trump.

It seemed like everyone was out and lining the streets.

The numbers there were astounding.

According to reports, including from the AP: Lisa Fagan, spokesperson for the city of Wildwood, told The Associated Press that she estimated the crowd represented between 80,000 and 100,000 attendees, based off her own observations on the scene Saturday, having seen “dozens” of other events in the same space.

The beachfront gathering, described by Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., as the largest political gathering in state history, was designed to serve as a show of force at a critical moment for Trump, who is facing dozens of felony charges in four separate criminal cases with the election less than six months away. There is a real possibility that Trump could be a convicted felon by Election Day.

“Welcome to the LARGEST political rally in the HISTORY of the state of New Jersey.” — U.S. Congressman Jeff Van Drew @Congressman_JVD.

Trump ripped how Biden had driven costs up for everything.

Football legends Lawrence Taylor and Otis "OJ" Anderson, who are golfing buddies of Trump, also came out. Taylor said he had been a Democrat. But now, because of Trump, no one in his family will ever vote Democrat again.

Anderson noted no one in the audience had left, even being there for hours or days.

Trump encouraged people to vote early or on Election Day, but to get out and vote.

This is a developing story, and RedState will provide further details as they become available.

Biden supporters say it’s 5k and point to polling that shows Briben up 14 trying to ignore the actual numbers at the event.

Meanwhile Briben gets snubbed at a gas station

There were signs that said, “TO BIG TO RIG”.

This is the only chance Trump has.

Nice post Jim W N. SO, to all you Freepers who think my home state of NJ is some liberal nuthouse full of those idiots,

Well did Wildwood NJ look like a ‘’Bastion of Liberalism’’ last night , DID IT?!

Damn right it didn't and we're not a ‘’bastion of liberalism’’.

Yeah we got pockets of them, like ticks on a dog in a few spots but last nights rally should sure as hell put the lie to this ‘’NJ is liberal’’ bs.

Maybe Biden was up by 14 in 2020, but this is 2024 and that 5-point lead from six weeks ago is probably gone by now!

Emerson College New Jersey 2024 Poll (April 2nd, 2024):

President Joe Biden holds a 40% job approval rating and 47% disapproval.

In the 2024 presidential election, 46% support Joe Biden, 39% Donald Trump, and 15% are undecided.

Over a third (35%) of Trump supporters would vote for the former President because they care about an issue, while 30% would vote for Trump because they like him. Thirty-one percent of Biden supporters support him because they dislike Trump, while 25% support Biden because they like him.

When third-party candidates are added to the ballot, Biden’s support decreases 5 points to 41% and Trump drops 3 points to 36%. Robert Kennedy Jr. received 8% support, Cornel West 1%, and Jill Stein 1%, while 14% remain undecided.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden swung through Seattle yesterday for two private fundraisers. I would expect that his total audience was about 300 people.

The home town of Dr. Jill Biden in Hammonton has numerous Trump flags and signs. Not one Biden sign. Weird thing, her maternal grandmother was my 3rd and 4th grade teacher. Actually a very teacher, as I remember her. I suppose I met Jill quite a few times since Mrs Godfreys always came to our churches chicken pot pie dinners.

Not to be undone Trump also attended our church in Nesco when one his security guards got married. I've got a pic of him in our church from that visit.

“This is set to become the first time in history where the number of votes far outstrips the number of voters......“

That is exactly the thought I have had for a while now.

What we need is big strong conservative guys who aren’t dummies to be at the polling/counting places. All the people Rudy G found to speak up were older women and professional men. They were all intimidated by the blacks at those places. All the judges and repub pols were already scared into submission by the summer of riots and didn’t want it to come to the places they live.

Well, Reagan filled all of downtown Hammonton. New Jersey, one October afternoon in 1984 - 50 miles from Wildwood and probably a close second if not first in attendance - the Reagan Rock still remembers the occasion in downtown Hammonton.....

I attended that rally in Hammonton. Got into reserve area. Some guy jumped the line and immediately had 3 secret service agent pressing him into the wall of a building. Another glitch had some fireworks going off early. Agents immediately appeared from the roofs of just about every building in Hammonton.

You were lucky - I arrived late for the rally and couldn’t get closer than three blocks away...of course, Kellyanna Conway went to school in Hammonton, and was the guest of honor at the town Christmas parade a few years back - good Republican roots.....
