The Monroe Doctrine applied to Europe I thought. Since Haiti has been a basket case since independence why not give Africa a try? You would think they’d come from French colonies-the former ones.

UN peacekeepers have been known to exchange aid for sex. Musta learned from Bill Clinton. They’re probably more honest.

The United States trashed the Monroe Doctrine in 1917. The Doctrine had two parts. Europe was not to interfere in the Americas. And the United States was not to interfere in Europe.

Woodrow Wilson sent American supplies to Britain, and American troops to fight in France. We interfered. We broke the agreement. Maybe it was necessary. But we broke the agreement. So we can’t whine much when someone wants to interfere here.
