Former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is under active consideration by Donald Trump's campaign to be his running mate, news site Axios reported on Saturday, citing unidentified people familiar with the situation.
Trump could pick Haley if he were convinced she could help him win the presidency, avoid a potential prison sentence and cover tens of millions in legal bills if he loses, the report said.
Haley, the former South Carolina governor and a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, ended her log-shot challenge to Republican presidential frontrunner Trump in March.
She said it was likely Trump - who repeatedly belittled her candidacy - would be the Republican nominee but did not endorse him.

I strongly believe Trump will choose a woman as his running mate - thought it might be Kristi Noem - but now she is off the table (as she should be).
Hope Nikki Haley is off the table as well.
The media has a bad habit of doing this during election season, throwing up any number of unacceptable names while pretending they are VP candidates.
They are not reporting the news, they are trying to create news by sucking it out of their thumbs.
Highly doubt it but I’ll go on record as saying that whomever Trump chooses is fine by me. If I don’t like the person or think they are swamp it’s also fine by me. The VP doesn’t have to be in the knoe about anything. That is totally up to the President. The VP is also not automatically the 2028 nominee. If Trump and his campaign feel that Haley is the way to win then Go Birdbrain go. I still highly doubt it.

What is the lesser of two evils? Another Biden puppet win, or Trump having to pick Haley to win? She got 20% of the vote from a lot of women and probably a few democrats. Do we want Trump to win or not? The other choice (Jobama) is pure evil and not voting is not an option.
