It was “billed” as the strongest it can get, so I guess that’s where the bright pinks and reds are coming from. Wish I could have seen it, but maybe tomorrow night?

The colors are created by the gases they mix with, not the strength of the blast. I’ve seen many colors on the Manitoba cam over the time I’ve been watching it. There were several colors when I first went out tonight but as it began to back off from this area, it went to just red.

Our sky will be clear tomorrow night and I hope to see more lights here. You won’t see them even if the sky is clear as a bell. They aren’t going that far south.
