Mike Johnson: Hakeem Jeffries and I ‘Have a Lot More in Common’ than Most Think
Breitbart ^ | 05/10/2024 | SEAN MORAN

Posted on 05/10/2024 1:00:26 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) praised House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) in an interview with Politico, saying that he and the Democrat leader have “more in common than people might think.”

Johnson said about Jeffries:

I have. Hakeem is a good man. We’ve worked well together. We have a lot more in common than people might think. You know, he’s from New York and I’m from Louisiana. While we have lots of disagreements on policies and the fine points of policy, I think you can appreciate people for who they are as a person. I think that’s what we’re called to do. And he and I both kind of share the worldview on that. I can appreciate that he’s a good family man. We have a lot in common in that regard. And he lost his father recently, I lost mine three days before I got elected to Congress. We’ve talked about that.

And I think what we’ve appreciated about one another is that I believe that when Hakeem Jeffries is telling me something, I believe he’s telling me the truth. I believe he is a man of his word. And I think he believes that about me as well. That’s a big thing in Washington. You know, trust is a rare commodity around here. [Emphasis added]

Trump is running not to offend Repukes and it’s getting sickening. Run against both parties like you did in 2016! No one belivess “the party is unified” shtick and it makes him look like just another politician. Johnson is following Democrats, he has the same policies as them and Trump blames Democrats! Enough of this Mr. President. Don’t run scared, run boldly and speak boldly against ALL of the swamp otherwise win, lose or draw the country is finished! I’ve got to be among thr staunchest supporters of Trump and if I’m getting this vibe then others are as well and Trump will lose big. Stop this!

Respectfully: I disagree, to some extent. In 2016, a brash voice like Trump resonated with almost everyone who was even slightly to the right. However, after four years of what I can only describe as 'petulance', he exhausted those on the moderate right, especially women. That, combined with 'the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics', contributed to his loss.

Trump doesn't need to remind the moderate right why they didn't vote for him in 2020. He needs a balancing-act. He needs to stir people like me, on the far right, without re-offending those on the moderate right.

Hell, if *I* was Trump, I'd convince the Deep State that I am safe now. That I am docile. That they have cowed me.

Then, one minute after inauguration, I'd tear them all a collective new a-hole.

What dirt do the rats 🐀 have on him?

Hard to say...anything is possible. But I lean toward his being a Goody Two-Shoes taught not to say anything if he can't say something nice. He should have learned by now that walking down the middle of the road results in being hit by traffic going in different directions.

Republicans have a majority of about 1 in the House.

A RINO officially turn ‘rat will give Democrats total control.

One must be nice to RINOs until Christmas break time.

Many Democrats are nice people.

It’s just that their politics and policies tend to be awful.

These things get picked up and spread but they never print the question that was asked. Maybe he was asked, “Do you hate Hakim Jeffries?” or “Do you think the House Democrats are all traitors?”

This Johnson clown, who I just saw on TV smirking and dismissing MTG and laughing with some other clown, is not mentally stable.

Most people keep overlooking the fact that it may not be easy to move on from Creeper Johnson.

Trump doesn’t select the Speaker, and Mitch McConnell became Party Leader 20 years ago.

What happens when Creeper rules with Dems and assistant Dems post election?
