huh? They left the US not fought against the government? You mean the Founding Fathers who left the British Empire and did fight against the government? You mean the Southerners who left the US and only fought the tyrannical US government because it attacked them seeking to impose its rule on people who did not consent to it?
The South was making the North violate it’s Staes Rights by handing back fugitive slaves. The Slave Power was fine using the Fecetal Government for it’s purposes, as soon as it lost power, it threw a hiss fit. And the Confederate Government was far bigger, far more intrusive.
