Bingo. On the stand she came off about as sympathetic as Amber Heard.

The problem with this whole case is they haven’t presented any evidence a crime was committed. Frankly, the prosecution witnesses so far have offered testimony that conflicts with the state’s narrative.

Stormy. He depicts her as having turned the questioning around. “they went for a home run ( to discredit her) and struck out. “ He is the most poisonous snake of lawfare so he sets up the media talking points.

I don’t know if the defense asked her what her “number” is, but Eisen quotes her as saying it was a “shock” to see someone other than her husband in his underwear.

The testimony had to be dramatic...That’s how she makes her money. And you can bet that the prosecution knew every word she was going to say...and even rehearsed it. Object...to make Trump the sleaze...but don’t think it turned out that way.

I swear I don’t know who the defense can call as witnesses, or what they can say at this point. The whole thing is a dance around everything except the specific charges.

Does the defense lend credence to their personal smearing by bringing in character witnesses?

The judge has already denied any legal experts on the law can be called, leaving such instructions to the court only. We have to hope defense closing arguments rule the day.

Exactly. Though even the prosecutors had to carefully walk back her claim during re-direct that the “encounter” wasn’t totally consensual. And notice they announced Karen McDougal would not be testifying after all. It backfired and they know it.

I don’t expect an acquittal — not with a Manhattan jury. But it only takes one juror. Defense only needs to plant the seeds of reasonable doubt in the mind of a single juror. Will it happen? Who knows.

Closing arguments should be interesting.

“Members of the jury, My client, President Donald Trump was charged with knowingly falsifying a business document. Normally this misdemeanor would never go to trial, if it did, historically the trial would last an hour or two, not three months. The prosecution hasn’t presented any evidence that President Trump knowingly falsified any evidence. The prosecutions own witnesses testified that the invoice in question coincided with regular monthly legal retainer payments. Another testified that he rarely if ever spoke with Donald Trump and certainly not about a bookkeeping line item.

You have no choice but to immediately find my client Not Guilty.”

GOD knows. Pray for jurors’ wisdom and courage and righteousness in the job they are assigned. The Spirit of GOD has Power to “convict” in the conscience.

And speak righteous and just judgment into the jurors’ deliberations, in faith in the Name of Jesus, confident that the GOD of justice and righteousness HATES unjust judgment! The LORD sees what we see — and more.

No one seems to “expect an acquittal.” That is the travesty. The actual case is almost comical, but lost in the borderline rape aspect.

“They’re still calling this a “hush money” trial”

Anti-Trump terminology, just as referring to Cohen as “Trump’s fixer”, and referring those that question the 2020 election outcome as “debunked election deniers”.

I’m all for brevity, as a rule, but after so many hours, d-a-y-s, of hammering home creepy notions at length, I hope they take time for some serious detailing.
